The Michael Moore film, “Sicko” addressed and exposed the corruption and the dishonesty that plagues the American Health Care system that was hidden or unseen the the American public. Before we watched this film, we thought that health insurance companies always tried to help out their clients because we personally had no mishaps or difficulties on our own insurance company. After watching the film, we realized how blind we were to the corruption of health care system and that the people who are supposed to be taking care of us are not. We did not realize that other places are able to provide free universal health care and their citizens are living longer and healthier lives because of that.
Moore use of various rhetorical techniques are aimed to engage the audience into the subject at hand other than bore them with boring facts and interviews.
